Ludhiana, April 20, 2021 (News Team): CT University will be the 1st University in Punjab to start Collaborative B. Tech Specialization in Electric Vehicle Engineering in collaboration with Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE), certified by Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC).

 

India is expected to have 30% of the vehicles on its roads to be electric or hybrid electric vehicles by 2030.

 

Vinod Gupta, President, ISIE, elaborated, “The objective of this one of its kind collaboration is that both the institutions shall be working together for Academic Partnership Program (APP) as a Collaborative B.Tech Specialization in Electric Vehicle Engineering. The primary aim of this partnership is to train high-quality engineering graduates in Automotive and allied fields.”

 

Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, said, “According to the estimate of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the EV industry alone will create one crore jobs by 2030. For every direct job, there will likely be five indirect jobs in the society - this takes the number of total employment by the EV industry to about 5 crores. This is the time to react, choose and settle. Students have got a great opportunity to grab.”
